Introduction of HTML5

HTML5 is the next major revision of the HTML versions. Since HTML is not as popular, due to content regeneration, and Web 2.0...a new standard is set to be released to allow for these changes to web design. HTML5 incorporates easy ways for video playback, drag & drop, etc...which normally rely on plugins to do the job. However, HTML5 has great new technologies, and newer ways to experience the web. The current file extensions that HTML5 will support are similar to all other HTML versions: .html, .htm, .xhtml, .xht, .xml Also, the MIME types are similar: text/html, application/xhtml+xml, application/xml Many elements of the language will get a boost, such as: , ,
,
, ,
, etc. And these elements and many others will be dropped, such as:
, , etc. There are other great features to HTML5: 2D drawing canvas element. Communicating AJAX applications across several platforms with the ease of one element. Better error handling, especially with incorrect syntax. Read more about HTML5 :
